Men of Valor Ministry to Host Family Health Fair in April 2016

Tulsa, Oklahoma, February 15, 2016:  The historic Mount Zion Baptist Church, 419 N Elgin Avenue, Tulsa, Oklahoma, Men of Valor Ministry will host its annual Health Fair on Saturday, April 30, 2016 in the G. Calvin McCutchen, Sr. Family Life Center from 9 am to 1 pm.  The 2016 theme is Staying Healthy is a Family Affair and this event is free and open to the public.  All families with and without children are asked to be in attendance. The Men of Valor Ministry president is Anthony James, Health Fair Chairperson is Don Thompson, Health Fair Coordinator is Barbara Thompson and Dr. Leroy M. Cole is pastor. The Men of Valor Ministry is designed for the men of the church both young and old. The ministry meets for fellowship and bible study on the 2nd & 4th Tuesday of each month at 7pm.

MOV mission statement is: “To enlist unchurched men for fellowship and to serve the church and bring unsaved men into vital relations with God in Christ, through personal Commitment to Him…and to inspire men to support the total program of the church in their hearts, in the community and the world.”

MOV objectives are to keep men aware of their duties and obligations as men of Mt. Zion Baptist Church and to promote among men a more “enlightened” understanding of the Christian faith, life and relationship with Christ. The ministry does various service projects and programs such as Health Fair, Operation Backpacks, Annual Fish Fry and Annual Men’s Day Program. The health fair is free and open to the public.
